Subtle Pattern Mixing

I absolutely love black, white, and tan. It might just be my favorite color combination (right after magenta & turquoise). Add in some pattern mixing and we've got a pretty dope outfit! I love it when my outfits (including shoes) are 100% thrifted--yes!

Argh! Just when I finally got my husband to consent to taking my outfit picture, the camera battery died! Anyways, I'm taking on the "Perfect Ten Remix" hosted by Coffee and Cardigans. My color scheme for the next ten days is hot pink, bright blue, tan, and black, based on a flow-y cardigan that I thrifted the other day. Edited--I found the picture, yay!

Lately, I've been attracted to grayish brown clothes. I thought that the burgundy based scarf, tights, and shoes was a nice touch. I'm still looking for grayish brown boots to really match this striped dress. Let me know if you see any :).

Fall Trends: Menswear

 

I really liked the way that this outfit came together! Originally, I wanted to wear my black pinstriped vest, however it did not come up far enough to really 'pop'. Then I was going to wear my black wedges, but switched them out for my tan loafers at the last minute. It's cute, menswear-esque, and slightly college prep all in one!

Fall Trends: Leopard

 

Hey--I'm participating in Megan (and Keely)'s Fashion Challenge: This or That. Click the badge on the right side for further information. Today, participants had a choice of snake print or leopard print. I actually saw a similar outfit on Jessica's whatiwore and knew that I had the pieces to recreate a similar scheme. I think it came out well considering that this photo was taken at the end of a very long Monday!

Yay for summer!! I never thought that I would give leggings a chance--you know the saying, never say never! For running errands and lounging around, leggings (and tunics) are the way to go!

I can't believe how much wear I am getting out of this bright blue skirt!! I'm starting to miss other things in my wardrobe, however. That, and going shopping! As this blouse is fairly low cut, I put a camisole underneath. Hopefully that's not considered cheating.

I love, love, love earthy colors like brown, cinnamon, gold, cream, tan, etc. This outfit incorporates my love of earth tones and it is comfy too!
Wrap tops are all types of awesome for my figure. I'm thinking about joining in academichic's challenge to dress your best body part this week. I definitely love the shape of my breasts, my small waist, my back, my hips, and my legs. Hmmm... gotta think how I can do this while remaining presentable for work, lol!
